About

Anchorage Downtown Bed & Breakfast, Anchorage

Founded in 1988, this historic exclusive downtown bed and breakfast is walking distance to all downtown shops, hotels, and tourist attractions; to Denali park tennis courts, to duck watching at Westchester Lagoon; to biking on the coastal ocean trail; and to viewing wild flowers and mountain sunsets. Formerly owned by the attorney general, this stately home - nestled behind tall spruce trees with wild flowers, raspberries, and an occasional moose - is a rare find for secluded downtown living. Built in 1958 it withstood the Great Earthquake of 1964. In 1988 nationally renowned architect Roger Dalrymple added the solar addition, and in 1998 Crittenden and Crombie added Grandpa's unique handicapped sunroom. We are a healthy smoke-free home.
